Microsoft 365: Certificate Update

Microsoft 365: Certificate Update

Starting July 2023, Microsoft will no longer sign its certificates presented to anynode for TLS connection setup with the Baltimore CyberTrust Root CA, but rather with the DigiCert Global Root CA. All anynode customers using one or more Microsoft Teams Direct Routing trunks must ensure that the additional DigiCert certificate has been added to the Trusted List in the Teams node before July 2023. Failure to do so will result in the inability to make or receive calls to and from Teams.

To ensure the connection works now and after the switch, root CA certificates must be added to the Trusted Certificates list in anynode.

Starting from version 4.8 anynode will handle this task for you seamlessly with the help of the Migration Assistant. The new DigiCert root certificate will be automatically migrated to the list of Trusted Peer Certificates. Therefore, no further action is required with anynode 4.8. We strongly recommend users of older anynode versions manually add the new root certificate to the Trusted Peer Certificates to prevent unnecessary downtime.

If you wish, you can also commission us to install the certificate if you are using an anynode version before 4.8.
